Bio:
Dereck Johnson (AKA half-pint);
A gnome who grew up outside of birmingham to loving parents of 4.
He showed a love of speed and an intuitive understanding of vehicles from a young age.
Dad took him go-karting and got him into the technical side of things and he studied hard and did well at school, only to find out that the real world isn’t as kind to metas that are smarter than the humans hiring them than school made out.
Stuck for options in the “real” world, he’d done his best to get a position as an engineer in several of the larger motor and aero sport racing teams but no-one was interested. After several years of rebellion {with the accompanying drinking, drugs and women of ill-repute :-) } he made a few contacts that led him into less “legit” earning capabilities. Now the child-that-doesn’t-get-a-christmas-invite, he’s been estranged from his family for years after all the upheaval of his youth.
He pays the bills with his shadowrunning and keeps a legit front by living in a low rent house with a workshop and running a small private mechanic service to known clients on a part-time basis.
